Picture 2 : Put half-pattern into the frame (we first use the bottom part of the model) Add some talcum powder onto the pattern.

Picture 3 : Sieve the sand upon the pattern to get a better quality of sand just around the pattern.Finish filling the frame with normal sand. picture 3

Picture 4 : Press the sand with your hands in order to get a more compact block of sand.

Picture 5 : Add some more sand over the first layer.

Picture 6 : Add some more pressure with the help of a pneumatic hammer. picture 6

Picture 7 : Use a shovel to take the extra-part of sand away. picture 7

Picture 8 : Turn the frame over. picture 8

Picture 9 : Pour some talcum powder upon the whole. Hmmmmm ! picture 9

Picture 10 : Put the second half of your pattern (as well as frame) onto the first half. piicture 10

Picture 11 : Position the vent on the pattern to let the air away and let the metal come instead of it. Also place the downsprue in the sand : it will allow the metal to flow in when casting. picture 11

Picture 12 : Repeat the operation from step 3 to step 7 to prepare the second frame. picture 12
